Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
Psalm 8

Wow! This such a powerful chapter. IT allows us a glimpse of our Creator's perspective of mankind; He is truly a loving God.  I would like to give a commentary on this passage, if you will give me the time, but first I want to tell you an event that happened just today.

My wife was driving to a friends house, and it was starting to get dark out. She was concerned about driving by herself at night, considering she was traveling to a rural about thirty minutes away. As I was enjoying the [relatively] cool South Carolina air, my phone rang. It was my wife and she said a really amazing thing had just happened to her. The humidity on the slightly cool night, had caused the windshield of her car to fog up.

She immediately peered into the glass, as the passage, "Psalm 8" appeared on her windshield. It was as if someone had ran their finger through the condensation on the glass. I praised God and wasted no time in turning  to Psalms in my Bible. I found a treasure.

Please read the next post if this strikes a chord in your heart. I will begin to elaborate on the eighth chapter of Psalms.
